Some (many?) conservative evangelical Christians, who state that the Bible is the word of God and must be followed, publicly claim that President Obama is not a Christian.
What is wrong with that scenario?
Comment by Thomas Gunn:
In orthodox Christianity the "word of God" or "Logos" in the Greek is primarily Jesus, not written or spoken words. While the Bible authors were divinely inspired, it (the compilation of the Bible) was humanly received/written over several hundred years and transmitted through various languages and editions with various inclusions and exclusions. I think many worship the Bible rather than God. Having said that, even if people worship the Bible, that does not explain why some would say the President is not a Christian, as they themselves do not follow every jot and tittle of holy writ.
