Observational Selection

When you hear politicians and pundits make statements, listen carefully. There are many deceptive techniques used. Observational selection is one. Here is an example:

A state politician boasts of the Presidents the state has produced, but is silent on its serial killers.
And, there are many more examples I am sure you can provide. The technique also is called enumeration of favorable circumstances: counting the hits but not the misses. Watch for it.
